The concert band is performing a piece with some special effects and we need your help to make this happen!
Woodwind students need a drinking glass that they can use as a “glass harmonica.” The glass is partially filled with water and then by rubbing a finger around the rim of the glass, a high pitch tone is produced.
Brass students need a small set of metal wind-chimes.
Right now, we only have 3 glasses and no wind chimes, so if you have one of the above items that you are willing to let us borrow, please send it to school with your child by Friday, December 2.
This a reminder that the Hoopeston Area Music Boosters are hosting their third annual silent auction THIS Saturday, November 12 in the high school gym. Information was sent home with students and here is the link to that handout: Music Booster Auction Information.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
If your child is interested in performing Christmas carols at community events in December, he or she will need at least one of the Christmas books found on the order form below. Performances may be held at Autumn Fields and local businesses. These performances are VOLUNTARY, therefore, the purchase of a Christmas book is not required. These performances do not include the Christmas Concert on Tuesday, Dec. 6 (which is a required event, no extra book purchase necessary.)
Here is the order form (due on Monday, November 7): Christmas Book Order Form
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
